MSU Architecture Students Win Thailand Green Design Awards 2023
Students from Industrial Crafts Design, Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design & Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University participated in the competition for eco-friendly products, “Thailand Green Design Awards 2023” organized by Kasetsart Agricultural and Agro-Industrial Product Improvement Institute, Kasetsart University.
The work they sent for the competition was “Khit-pattern Wall Tile”. This unique tile was crafted using eggshells gathered from various restaurants in the MSU area. Through skillful molding and design, they transformed these eggshells into captivating patterns for the wall tile which is a remarkable way of upcycling eggshells for the competition.
Moreover, the students who won the first runner-up in Resources Efficiency Category are senior students in Industrial Crafts Design, Creative Arts consisting of:
- Miss Intira Sawong
- Miss Natcha Tumsud
- Miss Phatarapha Therachottiyanon
- Miss Phatcharin Senanikhom
The advisor is Dr. San Srisuro who incorporated it into the curriculum of the course 110 3470 Product Design for Sustainable Environment, starting from the first semester of the academic year 2022. As a testament to their outstanding achievement, they were honored with the prestigious Plate Award, along with certificates and a cash prize of 5,000 baht. The grand recognition ceremony took place on May 19, 2023, at the Living Hall, located on the 3rd Floor of Siam Paragon.
