International Students Take Part in Traditional Activities for Songkran Festival

On April 10, 2024, the Graduate School of Mahasarakham University organized a special event called “Songkran Festival: preserving Thai traditions for international students” at the Mahasarakham University staff club building. In this event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prayook Srivilai, the Acting President of Mahasarakham University, along with Assoc. Prof. Krit Chaimoon, Dean of the Graduate School, led the administrators, staff and foreign students which are studying at Mahasarakham University to participate in the Songkran activities. These activities included sprinkling water onto a Buddha image and administrators for auspiciousness, fostering relationships between Thai and international students. These following events aimed to create an atmosphere of internationalism and cultural diversity within Mahasarakham University, while promoting and perpetuating the beautiful traditions of Thailand.
