HUSOC MSU Hosts the 4th Language, Society, and Culture International Conference
Today (May 12, 2023), the 4th Language, Society and Culture International Conference – LSCIC 2023 was hosted by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HUSOC), Mahasarakham University under the topic of “Maximizing Research and Opportunities for Sustainable Development” which had Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nittaya Wannakit, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty, give the opening speech. Furthermore, under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Theera Rungtheera, Vice Dean of Research and Academic Services, a team comprising university professors, researchers, and graduate students, along with representatives from different institutions and agencies, actively engaged in the project. They presented their academic works both in person at the Khong River meeting room, located on the 2nd floor of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Mahasarakham University, as well as through a ZOOM Meeting.
The objective of this conference was to create a conference platform that highlights global academic accomplishments, fosters the exchange of language expertise, academic insights, social progress, and cultural achievements. It also aimed to establish collaborative research networks and academic partnerships with both domestic and international organizations. Additionally, the activity aimed to provide support and encouragement to educators, staff members, and students in producing exceptional research and scholarly works.
Moreover, the conference has emphasized the importance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in social, economic and environmental fields which are issues that have gained international attention. It is a good opportunity for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to generate research and innovation which plays a key role in achieving sustainable development.
