MSU Representatives Visit PPIU to Select Cambodian Students to Receive Scholarships from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Fund

On February 3 – 6, 2024, Mahasarakham University (MSU) representatives had official visit for the selection of Cambodian students to study at MSU under the regulation of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Fund. The official visit led by Assoc.Prof. Dr. Prayook Srivilai, Acting President of Mahasarakham University, Dr. Sarinthree Udchachone, Assistant to the President for Public Relations and Global Image, Mrs. Nataya Chomphutsa, the Director of Public Relations and International Affairs, and representatives from six faculties managed the scholarship selection, meeting with the Minister of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, the Kingdom of Cambodia and discuss academic cooperation between MSU and Phnom Penh International University (PPIU).

For the 2024 academic year, MSU has provided 14 scholarships for Cambodian students in different majors and faculties. A total of 11 Cambodian students, including 8 bachelor’s students in Faculty of Education, Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, Mahasarakham Business School, Faculty of Engineering and College of Music, 2 Master’s students in Faculty of Education and Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, and 1 doctoral student in the Faculty of Education, were selected for scholarships.

Mahasarakham University has provided scholarships for Cambodian students at secondary, undergraduate and graduate levels since 2008. To strengthen our cooperation, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), Kingdom of Cambodia, and Mahasarakham University, Thailand, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in November 2023. The main purpose of this cooperation is to grant scholarships for Cambodian students under the Regulations of the Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Fund.
