MSU Organizes CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Training

Today (April 26, 2023), Student Affairs Division, Mahasarakham University organized cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillator (AED) training programs at the Sports and Recreation Gymnasium by having Ms. Angkana Promruksa,

Assistant to the President for Student Affairs and Organizational Communication, presided over the welcome speech and opened the event. It was an honor to have Ms. Nittaya Chinnaporn, a Professional Nurse and Ms. Supawan Chaisaenthao, Professional Nurse Practitioner from Kantharawichai Hospital, Maha Sarakham Province, along with Ms. Taprat Sae-Ang, AED Philips Product Manager and Mr. Suthat Lienpanich as speakers providing information and instruction.

The project aimed to provide first aid knowledge and skills for Mahasarakham undergraduate students and staff in order to help the injured properly and effectively before being sent to the hospital as well as reducing the severity and loss incurred from being in danger, and apply knowledge to daily life.

In this project, a speech on the topic of “First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation” was delivered by Ms. Nittaya Chinporn, Professional Nurse and Ms. Supawan Chaisaenthao, Professional Nurse Practitioner from Kantharawichai Hospital Maha Sarakham Province. After that, Ms. Taprat Sae-Ang, Product Manager of AED Philips and Mr. Suthat Lienpanich provided a speech on the topic of “The Use of automated external defibrillator (AED)”. At the end of the program there was a group activity about the training which 150 students and staff participated in.
