MSU and Mahasarakham Province mutually organize the 2nd Art and Culture of Textile Event, from Local to Global “Maha Mai Muang Kham”

January 8, 2023, the Institute of Northeastern Art and Culture, Mahasarakham University cooperated with public and private organizations of Mahasarakham province organizing the 2nd Art and Culture of Textile Event from Local to Global “Maha Mai Muang Kham”. The event was opened by Mr. Kiattisak Tongsiri, the Provincial Governor of Mahasarakham province together with Mr. Wiwat Intharathaiwong, a Deputy Governor of Mahasarakham province and Prof. Anongrit Keangraeng, the Vice-President for Infrastructural Development, Research and Innovation, MSU participating in this official opening event. The activities of this event included silk exhibition, fashion show of Isan clothes and local textile booths and distribution booths for handmade products and products from local entrepreneurs. The event has purposes to transfer local weaving skills, increase value of local products and motivate cultural business mobility.
