MSU has been nationally ranked no.4 in Thailand and no. 1501+ in the world ranking
October 12, 2022, Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023 officially announced world university ranking. MSU has been placed in the 1501+ world’s range among 1,799 educational institutes from 104 countries. For national ranking, MSU has been ranked no.4. The best areas are ranged and presented from high to low score including;
1. Teaching (Learning environment)
2. Industry income (Knowledge transfer)
3. International image (MSU staff, student and research)
4. Citation (Research)
5. Research (Number, income and reputation)
The ranking analyzed 121 million citations from 15.5 million of research and surveys from 40,000 academic staff worldwide. There were 2,500 higher educational institutes sent the information for the ranking. There were only 1,799 educational institutes placed in the world ranking.
This year, the University of Oxford holds the 1st’s world university ranking. The leading in different areas include Harvard University (high score in teaching area), University of Oxford (high score in research area), Macau University of Science and Technology (high score in internationalization).
Chulalongkorn University is no. 1 in Thailand, and ranked in the 801-1000 world’s ranges, followed by the King’s Mongkut University of Technology Thonburi, Mae Fah Luang University, Mahidol University, respectively.
