MSU Faculty of Veterinary Sciences Organizes a Rabies Prevention Campaign
On July 5, 2023, the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Mahasarakham University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Leetongdee, the Dean of the Faculty, administrators of Animal Hospital for Teaching and Learning, and 6th year undergraduate students participated in a project for Celebration of the Auspicious Birthday Anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangvadhana on July 4, 2023. This occasion provided mobile service for pet surgical neutering and vaccination against rabies, as well as educating the public on how to safely protect themselves from rabies. This event was organized at Khwao Local Administration Office, Mueang district, Maha Sarakham province.
During this project MSU cooperated with various government sections in Maha Sarakham province, such as Mahasarakham Provincial Livestock Office, Mahasarakham Provincial Public Health Office, Mahasarakham Provincial Office of Local Administration, Mahasarakham Provincial Education Office, Mahasarakham Public Relations Office, Local Livestock Office and Mahasarakham Local Administration Office. This project aims to prevent rabies and educate the local people in Maha Sarakham province on how to protect against rabies. There were people brought 100 dogs and cats to receive rabies vaccination services, and an additional 39 dogs and 44 cats underwent surgical neutering.
