MSU Administrators Attend the 5th China-ASEAN (China-Thailand) Higher Education Cooperation Forum
November 15 -17, 2023, Assoc.Prof Dr. Prayook Srivilai, President of Mahasarakham University, together with Asst.Prof. Dr. Pondej Chaowarat, Vice President for Public Relations and Global Engagement, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Prayoon Wongchantra, Chief of Faculty Senate, Asst.Prof. Dr. Rachan Nillawanapha, a representative from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Asst.Prof. Dr. Ruethai Nimnoi, Deputy Director of the Academic Resources, attended the 5th China-ASEAN (China-Thailand) Higher Education Cooperation Forum organized by Guangxi Minzu University in Nanning, People’s Republic of China.
November 16, 2023, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Prayook Srivilai, President of Mahasarakham University, was invited to give a speech on Mahasarakham University localization and modernization of the higher education governance system, governance capacity, and inequality and sustainability. Asst.Prof. Dr. Pondej Chaowarat was also invited to give a speech on university governance and international cooperation. In addition, MSU representatives participated in different sessions where they had opportunities to share and discuss the following topics; China-ASEAN (China-Thailand) ethnic culture and ethnic governance, China-ASEAN (China-Thailand) digital book construction and sharing, and China-ASEAN (China-Thailand) legal culture and legal collaboration.
The 5th China-ASEAN (China-Thailand) Higher Education Cooperation Forum was organized by Guangxi Minzu University with the aim of promoting educational cooperation between Guangxi Minzu University and international partner universities in ASEAN countries. Various institutes in China and Thailand are participating in this event, including Guizhou Minzu University, Wuhan University, Tongen Vocational and Technical College, Beijing Foreign Studies University and Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University.
Guangxi Minzu University has had a strong relationship with Mahasarakham University from many years. The both institutes have established different educational activities such as student and staff exchange programs and sharing curriculums.
