Magnetic Information Storage Technology (MINT) Research Unit, MSU, Cohost International Academic Conference SMARTMAT 2024
The Magnetic Information Storage Technology (MINT) Research Unit, Faculty of Science, Mahasarakham University, in collaboration with Prof. Roy Chantrell from the University of York, the IEEE Magnetic Society Thailand Chapter, and Seagate Technology Thailand, organized the International Conference on Smart Materials and Nanotechnology (SMARTMAT@2024) from November 5–8, 2024, at the Chiang Mai Grandview Hotel, Chiang Mai Province. The event aimed to build research networks in the fields of magnetic materials and materials science among Thai researchers and leading global researchers to raise the standard of research in Thailand in the future.
The MINT Research Unit organized the conference under the topic of Technical Symposia Session 13: Regional Symposium on Advanced Magnetic Functional, Optical, Photonic, and Electronic Materials. Distinguished speakers included Prof. Byong-Guk Park from KAIST, Prof. Johan Arkerman from the University of Gothenburg, Prof. Theo Rasing from Radboud University, Dr. Ho Pin from A*STAR, Singapore, and Prof. Hoe Joon Kim from DGIST, who shared valuable knowledge and experiences on advanced functional materials, such as magnetic materials, optical materials, photonic materials, and electronic materials.
On this occasion, congratulations are in order for Khanitta Yuanmae from the MINT Research Unit, who won the Best Oral Award 2024.
