Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Organizes a Special Lecture in Collaboration with the University of Hamburg, Germany

On October 5, 2024, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, MSU, organized a national and international academic seminar project. The special lecture, in collaboration with the University of Hamburg, Germany, was on the topic of “Ancient Documents and Religious Beliefs in Folklore and the Development of Communities and Society.” Assoc.Prof. Prayook Srivilai, Acting President of Mahasarakham University, presided over the event, and Assoc.Prof. Nittaya Wannakit, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, led the faculty members and students in participating in the project.

The project was honored by Prof. Volker Grabowsky from the Asia-Africa Institute and Dr. Silsupa Chaingsawang from the Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures, University of Hamburg, Germany, who gave a special lecture at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, MSU.

This national and international academic seminar project was held in the form of a special lecture with an opportunity for questions and answers to facilitate knowledge exchange. The objective was to create a space for academic exchange between Mahasarakham University and the University of Hamburg, allowing students to learn and understand the diverse knowledge in an integrated manner within the fields of humanities and social sciences, as well as to establish research collaboration networks and academic partnerships with international organizations.
