MSU organizes a Training Program for Local Entrepreneurs on “Income Enhancement of Local Products and Services”
On March 9, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prayook Srivilai, President of Mahasarakham University presided over a training program on “Income Enhancement of Local Products and Services” under the project “University to Tambon for Bio Circular Green Economy Project (U2T for BCG). Prof. Dr. Anongrit Keangraeng, Vice President for Infrastructural Development, Research and Innovation and Dr. Ritthikrai Chi-Ngam, Assistant to the President for Academic Services and Sustainable Development as well as a team of speakers inviting local entrepreneurs, owners of product and service in local communities to participate in the event. The event was organized at the conference room of Taksila Hotel, Maha Sarakham province.
Prof. Dr. Anongrit Keangraeng stated that Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) has carried out U2T for BCG project, assigning universities in the area (System integrator) to hire workers and develop product and service to restore internal economy and society in various areas. As a result, MSU has arranged a training program to support and promote local products and services to domestic markets through distribution channels to increase income for local communities. The objective is to provide knowledge and online selling techniques for participants to generate more income, as well as photography skill and content creation to increase s online selling. In addition, the workshop has conveyed knowledge on the platform for community online product trading under the name “MSUmarket.com,”. This is another channel to increase community income, which will create long-term sustainability and strength.
There were 40 people from the targeted communities, business groups, community enterprise groups, and product and service owners who received product development training from Mahasarakham University and participated in the training program. In addition, there were representatives from 4 sections within the university joined the training program, including Silk Innovation Center, MSU Farm, Pharm Care Pharmaceutical, Faculty of Pharmacy, UIC and students from Mahasarakham Business School also participated in the training program from March 9-10, 2023.
