Mahasarakham University promotes the use of local herbs for self-caring to the local community. 
 
The Faculty of Nursing, Mahasarakham University launches the Project "Health Improvement with Local Wisdom and Encouragement to have a Potential to do Pain Reduction Products” to promote the use of local herbs for self-caring to the local community.
 
On June 18, 2019, at Thun Village, Na See Nuan Sub-district, Kantharawichai District Mahasarakham province, Associate Professor Dr. Somchit Dansikaeo, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahasarakham University with lecturers and the second-year students of the Faculty of Nursing, launch the project to promote the use of local herbs for self-caring to relieve pain and teach how to create pain relief products to the people in the local community with the purposes to raise the value of local wisdom and a folk culture, and build the identity of Thun village community. 
 
The Faculty of Nursing’s students and the people of Thun village join together to create pain relief products with a lecture on how to use the local herbs to relief pain by Mr. Thongsoon Kumkot, a folk expert at local herb, and a lecture on how to create an effective packaging by Assistant Professor Dr. Wichanat Thiwasingh, the lecturer from the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design and Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University.
