MSU hosts the Thai Buffalo Preservation Day
 
On May 14, 2019, the Thai Buffalo Preservation Day is organized at Mahasarakham University in cooperation of Faculty of Cultural Science, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, the MSU Farm and other organizations from Maha Sarakham Province and the Northeastern Region. The activities are included: the Buffaloes Exhibitions, Buffaloes Shows, Buffalo health checking, Buffaloes Contest and more.      
 
Associate Professor Dr. Prayook Srivilai, the Acting President of Mahasarakham University, says that this is to make people conscious of Thai buffaloes. Presently, the number of Thai buffaloes has decreased continuously from 1.6 million in 2005 to seven thaosand.
