This project presentation day is aimed for MSU undergraduate students who took the general education course “One Curriculum, One Community” to present the results of their community outreach projects to 62 faculty advisors, 20 community leaders and 3 committees. Moreover, the public was invited to take part in this annual exhibition of the remarkable outcomes of our students' project work.
In 2/2016 academic year, there were up to 7,433 students who enrolled and took part in this unique and flagship program of the University. This One Curriculum, One Community course under the University’s General Education modules is designed to benefit the following groups of people emphasizing on learning community services: 1) For students to apply their knowledge to serve communities through academic services, research, culture conservation and extra-curriculum activities as well as to gain positive attitudes toward life and society; 2) For faculties to reform the education such as teaching outside classroom through academic services; And for communities to be given an opportunity to be the expert who transfer knowledge for their own community and their network around their village because the University realizes that there are many learning resources embedded in each community such as organic market, rice bank, local museum and local curriculum.
