MSU ORGANIZES A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN WORKSHOP 2022

On April 27, 2022, the Office of International Affairs (OIA), Division of Public Relations and International Affairs, Mahasarakham University organized learning activities and workshops which is called "Nu Noi Hug Hoop Taem" at Ban Khee Sri Sanga Non Siew School, Kantharawichai District, Maha Sarakham Province.

 

The workshop was conducted by Ajarn Saranya Phakdisuwan, a lecturer at the Department of Culture and Design, Faculty of Fine- Applied Arts and Cultural Sciences, Mahasarakham University and Ajarn Thammanoon Padmana, a Lecturer at the Department of Industrial Art, Faculty of Education, Maha Sarakham Rajabhat University. OIA had invited those leacturers as a speaker to educate and lead fun activities. It is beneficial to participants, who are students from Ban Khi Sri Sanga Non Siew School, Ban Wai School Wapi Pathum District and students from Mahasarakham University.

 

Before starting the activity in the morning, it had an opening ceremony by welcoming the event organizers students and students. A welcome speech is given by the director of Ban Khi Si Sanga Non Siew School and opened the activity by Assistant Professor Dr. Peera Phanlukthao, Assistant to the President for International Affairs and Global Engagement, Mahasarakham University

 

The activity of FRIENDS Community Development Plans: Nu Noi Hug Hoop Taem was organized to promote cultural participation capabilities to promote community diversity and internationalization. It also disseminates and supports the new generation to know and understand the meaning of Hoop Taem, which is considered as a mural in Isan style folk art, in a more profound way in order to bring knowledge from activities that have been done to further benefit, such as transforming into products for storage of units or creating careers for both oneself and others in the future. This activity is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals as follow:

 

SDG 1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere.

          Providing education to juvenile is a part of end poverty. This activity is giving opportunity to young people to explore new knowledge.

 

SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

          Hoop Taem is known as a mural in Isan style folk art. This cultural activity creates equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. It is because children can access to the knowledge without boundaries.

 

SDG 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

          This activity aims to consider the important of the gender equality and empower all women and girls. Therefore, the most participants are girls and the head of speaker is female.

 

SDG 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

          Participants can obtain the knowledge which is derived from the activity. In the future, they can adapt what they had learned to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

 

SDG 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries.

          Organizer of the event employ the art knowledge to reduce inequality because the language of art is best to persuasively understand the context of human being.

 

SDG 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

          To learn art is to learn how to protect and preserve cultural context as part of make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

 

SDG 17:  Partnerships for the Goals.

          Partnership is very crucial network of people, society and community. Building a strong workforce is building a solid partnership by working closely with the community to strengthen the collaboration and partnerships as part of the objective of this cultural activity.
