Mahasarakham University Uses “Mor Lam Klorn” and “Nang Pra Mo Thai” to share the Understanding of “New Normal.”

Mahasarakham University by the Research Institute of Northeastern Arts and Culture gives and records the Isan cultural performances, “Mor lam Klorn” and “Nang Pra Mo Thai,” with purpose to share knowledge and understanding about “New Normal” during COVID-19 outbreak with the community. These performances will be shown on the social media including, Website, Facebook, Webpage, Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, Line and more.

This is aiming to make the elders understand how to change their lifestyle and living during COVID-19 outbreak through their popular and cultural performances. Therefore, the elders will learn and recognize the New Normal with enjoyment. This is the modern way of study which can prepare and make readiness for the next period of COVID-19 outbreak or the spreading of other diseases in the future.

Mahasarakham University is trying not only to involve in the learning wisdom of the community, but also to preserve the important cultural heritage of the Northeastern including, “Mor lam Klorn,” the Isan traditional performance, and “Nang Pra Mo Thai,” the Northeastern shadow-puppet theater. We hope that we can give the community lots of positive encouragement as Mahasarakham University’s motto: “Public Devotion is a Virtue of the Learned.”
