MSU Fashion and Textile Design Student Wins 3rd Place in the MC Smart Project Contest

Narongyot Teejunmart, a Fashion and Textile Design student from Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design & Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University won third place in the 2016 MC Smart Project Contest.

The 2nd MC Smart Project 2016 sponsored by MC Company Limited in collaboration with the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce (Thailand) is intended
to offer students and creative designers the opportunity to create fashionable products from surplus denim, while demonstrating an ability to use environmental resources efficiently.

Moreover, this project aims to show Thai designers’ ability to the global market. It especially conforms with the economic stimulus strategy of the government to encourage innovation by local businesses, to add more value to creative products, to give entrepreneurs the chance to create SMEs, and to create more employment opportunities.

The contest was categorized into 2 types; Fashion Lifestyle and Living Lifestyle. Narongyot Teejunmart submitted his project entitled Reflection in the contest and won the third place in ‘Fashion Lifestyle’ category.

He received 10,000 Baht gift voucher and award certification for his achievement at the 2016 MC Smart Award Presentation Ceremony on 10 March 2017 at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Thailand.
